Another week focused on building cavnessHR.
We had a meeting with PayFactors https://payfactors.com/ to talk about a possible partnership in the future. We would use the partnership with PayFactors to help small business owners know the right amount to pay their people.
We are still looking for people to fill out our HR survey on Typeform.
Below is the link to fill out the 7 question survey. We really appreciate you doing this.

We completed and signed our taxes for 2018. Not one of the "sexy" things about growing a
company. But still something you have to do.
We are expanding our cavnessHR Podcast to include the cavnessHR Culture podcast. These are being hosted by our cavnessHR Leadership and Culture Advisor, Daniella Young. https://www.linkedin.com/in/daniella-young/
You can learn about her background in episode zero of the cavnessHR Culture podcast that will be released Monday, April 29. She will be talking to some great people about how culture and leadership and organizational behavior can improve small business. Moving forward we have the cavnessHR Culture Podcast focused on leadership and culture and organizational behavior for small business. We will still do the cavnessHR Podcast where we talk to small business owners, founders and people in tech, startups and HR. The intent is to use these podcasts to build relationships with people and as part of our sales funnel and to introduce people to cavnessHR. We also worked on putting together new intros and outros for our podcasts. We think that eventually, each podcast will be its own distinct podcast. But for now, they will share the same platform.
We continue to use Dux-Soup https://www.dux-soup.com/ and LinkedIn Sales Navigator to connect with possible customers. We have around 3000 small business owners we are reaching out to using these platforms. We are using Dux-Soup to reach out to 300 people per day. So far 369 people have accepted our connection requests. With a few of them agreeing to meet with us. The plan is to do a deep dive on the people who have connected with us to see if they might be a good match for cavnessHR. Then to follow up with them.
For our email campaign manager, SendGrid https://sendgrid.com/ For the past month we have a 61% open rate. Which, from our understanding is actually quite good. We use SendGrid to send out our week HR email newsletter and some other emails.
For Close.com https://close.com/ our Sales platform we are using to send cold emails. We have an open rate of 42%. Which again is pretty good. But so far no one is really responding. Except to tell us to take them off our sales list. We still need to go to our email sequences and refine them.
One refinement we need to make is to the email sequences we send to members of the Tacoma Chamber of Commerce. In the original email sequences, we do not mention that we are also members of the Chamber. Which is something we should highlight.
We met with our Marketing Intern to discuss our social media moving forward.
