For the weekly cavnessHR update we had another productive week. We moved out of our coworking space at SurgeTacoma to prepare for our upcoming participation in the Bunker Labs and We Work Veterans in Residence program. We will be with nine other Veteran led businesses who will have free space out of the Lake Union We Work in Seattle for the next 6 months. From what I understand the program is set up to be an accelerator like Techstars or Y Combinator. Except they don't provide any funding. But they do help to set up meetings with potential investors.
We are expecting to learn a lot from the program and to make some invaluable contacts during our six months in the program. One thing we need to do is to layout our goals for cavnessHR while in the program.
We took our interns with us to Seattle to see the Lake Union We Work and to meet with Josh Kotoff. Josh does some great work in Social Media. He focuses on YouTube strategy and SEO. But he is very knowledgeable in all areas of Social Media. Josh works out of L.A. but he was in Seattle for a few days. We thought it would be good for our interns to talk to him and learn how Josh does Social Media.
We have almost finalized our monthly meetings with our Board of Advisors. So it will be great for cavnessHR to start having those meetings and learning all we can from our Board of Advisors.
We continue to make refinements to our market research, business feasibility and financials for the Business Impact NW Impact Pitch competition. The documents are due on August 2. So we will probably take one last look tomorrow and then submit them. We have received some great help from our business coach in making sure these documents are the best possible prior to submission.
We continue to meet with our existing customers to see how we can add more value to them and to see how we can improve cavnessHR. We also have two potential customers that we continue to work on to bring into the cavnessHR fold.
