Once again a lot going on with the building of cavnessHR.
We attended the Green River College Capstone demo. This was an event where the students from Green River College presented what they have done so far in regards to their Capstone class. There were 10 presentations. From my point of view, the progress made by the cavnessHR team was nowhere close to the progress made by the other teams. To their credit, they admitted this and are going to come up with a strategy to add the value they are expected to add to cavnessHR during their Capstone class.
They have been able to send out our HR laws email. But the downside is that for some reason, bots have been requesting the HR laws. So we need to figure this out. Also, we have been using our integration with our email campaign manager, SendGrid to email out the HR Laws. Since we started sending out the HR laws. The cavnessHR email reputation score has gone from 98% to 63%. So, obviously, this is not good and something we need to fix now. Your email reputation score goes down for spam and bounced emails.
We continue to talk to possible members of our Board of Advisors. We have one talk left with someone next month. After that person decides if they would like to be a member, we will publicly announce the cavnessHR Board of Advisors
We also spent time researching possible accelerators and incubators to apply for with cavnessHR.
We have narrowed the list to 11 possible ones to apply for later. They are located in the Seattle, San Francisco, L.A., and Texas areas. We did not realize how many accelerators and incubators there are out there. So it took some time and research to get the list down to these 11.
We spent some time researching possible VC firms to approach later with cavnessHR. There is so many VC firm out there. But luckily, it was pretty easy to narrow down the list. As most of them do a great job of saying what their investment strategy is and what they look for in possible investment opportunities. We narrowed this list down to 51 firms. Which is still a lot. So we will take another look at these VC firms and try to narrow down the list some more. The location of these firms is Seattle, San Francisco, L.A. and Texas.
We have decided to only do our podcast editing and blogs only on Saturdays. That way we don't use valuable time during the "regular" work week on these items. Which should give us more time during the "regular" work week to focus on customer acquisition and building cavnessHR.
We redid our 3-year sales projections based on our new pricing module. As you may or may not recall. We redid our pricing module about a month ago. We lowered our pricing module based on feedback we received from several small business owners. We just are now realizing that we did not redo our sales projection to account for the change in our pricing module.
We attended the UW-Tacoma VIBE open house to learn more about their upcoming business plan pitch competition. We still have not decided if we are going to enter this competition. Right now we are 50-50 on entering. We have to decide soon as April 13 is the date you have to submit your executive summary for the initial round of the competition.
We completed mission 5 of the Launch Lab online accelerator. https://bunkerlabs.org/launch-lab-online/ The focus for mission 5 was de-risking starting your own business. There was a lot of useful and valuable information in this mission.
