Another busy week for cavnessHR. I feel really good about the progress we are making in building cavnessHR. We want to provide HR to all U.S. companies with less than 50 employees while transforming the HR outsourcing industry. I believe we are taking the right steps in that direction.
As part of taking on our first client. We are learning some great lessons. One is that no matter how many time you format a HR product (employee handbook, HR policies, etc...) You are going to need to format it one more time.
We are also going to need to add more options for our drop down menu options when we provide our questionnaires to our customers. For example on our current drop down menu it only provides CEO for the person in charge of the organization. Well the person in charge of our first client has a title of Executive Director. We are finding plenty of examples of this.
We have a potential second client and we should find out this week if they are going to select us. Although, what they want us to do is outside of what we were planning to do at this stage. They need someone to help them fill 40 positions very quickly. We were referred to them by a Recruiter I know in Seattle. We had a good conversation with their Chief of the Board of Directors and their Executive Director. We have sent them our plan along with our pricing proposal. We feel pretty good about this. But time will tell. But this does open up something we need to consider doing now vs later in the future. As we had originally planned.
We have started sending this update to some Venture Capitalists and Angel Investors in Seattle. We are no where near the stage for fund raising. But I am doing this in an attempt to start building relationships. All of the people we are sending updates to, we are already connected on LinkedIn.
Not sure where this technique is going to lead to for cavnessHR. But it will be interesting to find out.
As I talked about on some previous blogs. We had targeted 28 companies in the Tacoma area to send personalized YouTube Videos. We relooked the list and trimmed it down to 19. We did some more research on those 19 companies. Then we made individual YouTube videos for each one.
Below is an example of one of them.
We continue to interview great people for the cavnessHR podcast and push them out. We are doing something different now. We have always been using FB live as a way to reach more people. But now we are have the FB Live viewers ask questions of the guest. When the podcast part is over. I tell these questions to the guest so they can provide answers to the viewers.
We are also using an app called live leap. By using this, the FB Live is sent to my personal FB, the cavnessHR group, the cavnessHR page, my Linkedin profile and my Twittter at the same time the FB Live is occurring. We are thinking this will help reach more people with the great content.
Finally, we have been continuing to listen to webcasts on the Society of Human Resources to Management (SHRM) site. To help us keep up to date on all aspects of HR.
