Ricardo’s Bio

Ricardo Perez grew up in South Texas, where he raised himself, almost didn't graduate high school, and served as a Sniper who could have medically retired from the US Army but turned it down to save what little sanity he had left. After honorably discharging from a historically hard-hit unit, Perez received degrees in Chemical Engineering and Chemistry, filed a utility patent, and is a graduate of the MS in Entrepreneurship program offered by Foster Business School at the University of Washington.

Currently, he's a Research Scientist on the Next Generation Sequencing Team at the University of Washington Department of Virology and hopes to be a Ph.D. student by the end of 2022!

His book, Born To Fail, is available now on Amazon and the revenue from sales goes back to lifting the voices of the men from the unit he served in, the 5th Brigade 2nd Infantry Division.
