Raja’s Advice
It's not popular. Don't care. I know and I'm sure you get it. I promise. It's a really, really hard time for everybody with liquidities being dried up. Don't placate and don't get platitudes, don't compromise who you are. Because in the long run, you're going to end up just shooting yourself in the foot.
It took us five years to get to where we wanted and we're on a trajectory path that nobody can derail it. Not even market conditions can derail it. So if you're true to who you are, if you're sticking to your experience. No exigent circumstance can derail your so as cheeky and prophetic and bullshit as it sounds, stick to what you know.
Then if you need to iterate, take a little bit of your ego out of it. But stick to who you are as a person and just be honest, and have a good support system. That's not an echo chamber, but have a good support system that can make you feel vulnerable and safe.
At the same time. If you have a group or constituency that can make you feel vulnerable, to tell you what you're thinking, hey, I don't know if this is gonna work.
But safe to say that at the same time it's better than any investor is better than your advisor. It's better than any network that you can have. More importantly, they're fleeting, so leaning into them, if you think it's like an online platform or whatever, if it's FYI, if it's Jason in his constituency, lean into it in a big way, and just really own it. Don't switch don't look for the next thing. A lot of people have one idea about a system and they're like, oh, this next system looks so much better because it's the system 2.0 Why?
