There have been plenty of positive changes in HR over the years. One positive change is the increase in technology in our field and the willingness of HR professionals to embrace technology to increase our ability to take care of our customers. So many of our HR functions can now be done with the assistance of technology.
Also the addition of payroll services and HRM/HRIS companies to the HR industry is allowing us to outsource tasks we once spent numerous hours on to ensure we were in compliance. Now we can use these hour to focus on how we can assist our organization in building operational capacity. This also allows more time on taking care of our customers. I will talk about the customers of HR in a future blog.
One more positive about HR is the willingness of HR professionals to share their knowledge with others and to help other HR professionals to become better. There are so many websites, Twitter chats, LinkedIn groups and HR Conferences to assist the HR professional of today. That no matter what challenge you are currently handling.
