I have been quite busy since the last time I submitted a blog. That is something I intend to do on a more regular basis. I have been looking for a job that would be a fit and I have invested time and resources in my company cavnesshr.

I will go into some detail on both below.

I started my job search January 2015 and applied at many places and even accepted a job. That I later quit because of various factors. I believe I have now accepted a position that will be a fit. The position is as HR Director for Highline College in the Seattle area. I believe this position will allow me to grow as a HR professional. I also believe this position will allow me to add value and to help solve problems.

Below breaks down some of the details of my job search.

I want to thank all the people who assisted me in my job search. There are too many to name here. I have done my best to contact them to thank them. From people willing to answer my questions to meeting me in person to providing advice. I found that most people are willing to help you out as much as they can.

I have also tried my best to help anyone who has come to me for help and I will continue to do so in the future.

I have learned that the job search process and the hiring process is broke. Candidates are looking for the perfect job. They are oftentimes disappointed with the job they accept. Hiring managers are looking for the perfect candidate. This is causing a delay in hiring, until they do find the perfect candidate, which we all know does not exist. So we have talented people without jobs and jobs staying vacant.

There has to be a better way.

I have also been busy with my Startup, cavnessHR. As many of you know there is lots involved with getting a Startup off the ground.

I am currently working on my website and I intend to have it up and running by the first of the year.
