The big news for this week is we have our 2nd paying customer. This will allow us to learn more
and put us on the path to future success. What is really exciting about this customer is we have the potential to gain more customers due to our relationship with our newest customer.
We received a call last week from a blast from the past. A former commander of ours from our time in the Army called. He wanted to let us know that he sees us all over social media and he really likes the concept of what we are doing with cavnessHR. He said he wanted to call to let us know how proud he was of what we are doing.
As we talked about before, we will have some interns working for us this summer. We spent this week putting together an intern orientation for them. It covers the vision and values of cavnessHR. It also lays out all the items we need help with from them over the summer. Our intent is to let them pick the pick the items they want to do for us.
We completed mission 8 of the Bunker Labs Launch Online Accelerator Program. https://bunkerlabs.org/launch-lab-online/ This mission was about building your plan. One module we learned lots from was how the entrepreneurial sales process is different from the normal sales process.
We had a great chat with our Bunker Labs Launch Online group partner, Maggie.
This reminded us that while in elementary school we used to sell a newspaper called Grit. https://www.grit.com/ We used to go door to door selling Grit and doing the whole cold sales process. If we were able to do this as a kid, cold calling and/or cold emailing people now should not be that difficult.
We have our first designs for the new website. So that is exciting. Of course, we still have lots of work to do on the tech side.
