It has been a while since we posted our weekly update. For those of you who don't know, we had surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff and to re-attach a bicep. So, fun times. It is hard to build a company with only one hand. So progress has slowed a bit during the last 6 weeks.

Since the last update, we have done the following

Took courses through SemRush https://www.semrush.com/ to help us improve our SEO. SemRush is the main tool we use for our SEO.

We took the Google Analytics Academy course.  Below is the link.

We redid our marketing budget and our sales projections.

We attended a few SHRM webinars  https://www.shrm.org/  to keep current on HR topics.

We took a webinar with HR Daily Advisor  https://hrdailyadvisor.blr.com/  on different ways to do job descriptions.

We took a webinar with PeopleKeep https://www.peoplekeep.com/ that covered the changes in 2019 to health insurance for small business.

We filed the taxes for the cavnessHR LLC that ended June 19, 2018 and the cavnessHR, Inc that started June 20, 2019. In hindsight, we should have kept the LLC for all of 2019 and switched to a corporation on January 1, 2019.

We did demos with Hiretual and BreezyHR. The plan is to get into recruiting in about 6 months. So we wanted to start looking at some possible solutions to use.

We paid for something called flawless FB ads. https://opesta.com/flawless/?fp_ref=john58 It is basically a formula that helps you receive better ROI from your FB ads.  I learned about this from an episode of the Entrepreneur on Fire Podcast  https://www.eofire.com/podcast/ethansigmon2/  that is hosted by John Lee Dumas https://www.linkedin.com/in/entrepreneuronfire/  JLD always has great guests and we decided to check out this guests offering.

We are now part of WeWork Labs Incubator. Since we were chosen as Veterans in Residence (ViR) Alumni. We are being given access to WeWork Labs Incubator. https://www.wework.com/labs  They have a ton of programming and access to some great resources. We have access for 6 months. So we need to take full advantage of this great opportunity.

We took part in the Seattle Angel Conference competition. We submitted our pitch deck and received some great feedback. However, we did not make it to the round of 24. We are supposed to be receiving some more feedback on our pitch deck. Which will be very useful to us. 

We are full speed on our customer acquisition process now after so many delays and procrastinating.  We are focusing our efforts on companies with 49 or fewer employees in the Tacoma Chamber of Commerce https://www.tacomachamber.org/ Bunker Labs Seattle https://bunkerlabs.org/seattle/ Master Builders Association Pierce County  https://www.mbapierce.com/ and Business Impact NW  https://businessimpactnw.org/
