During this last week, we had a meeting with WagePoint Payroll https://wagepoint.com/?r=US about forming a partnership with them. Right now, cavnessHR does not plan on doing payroll. But we realize our customers will probably ask for this service.  

Of the other payroll services out there. So far as we can tell, WagePoint Payroll is the only one that only offers payroll services. Lots of them like Gusto Payroll also offer basic HR services/products. It just did not make any sense to us to seek out a partnership with a payroll company that also provides HR products/services

As part of our investor outreach, we have contacted 47 investors on LinkedIn. So far 24 have replied.

We took part in the SHRM Next Chat on Twitter. This is a twitter chat they host every Wednesday. They have the twitter chat on a HR subject, ask 8 questions and then the people taking part answer the questions. We use this as a way to keep up to date on relevant HR subjects and to build the cavnessHR network.

We signed up again for Close.io https://close.io This is the sales platform we are going to use for cavnessHR. The plan is to start cold calling and cold emailing potential clients in the Seattle/Tacoma area on Monday, February 4 or earlier.

We had our weekly meeting with the Business Development Representative to discuss learning how Close.io works and the way ahead with obtaining customers. For now, we are going to focus on 224 potential customers in the Seattle/Tacoma area. We will use these initial 224 to learn how to use Close.io and how to refine our customer acquisition process.

We spent most of this week redoing our HR products for 2019 to make sure they have all been updated with the applicable laws.

We also found out that we will be taking part in the Bunker Labs Veterans in Residence Alumni program. https://bunkerlabs.org/our-programs/veterans-in-residence/ cavnessHR was one of 3 companies from the Seattle Veterans in Residence cohort that is going on now. As a selectee, we will receive 6 more months of free space at WeWorks. Although, the actual WeWork location will change. As an added benefit, we will be able to take part in WeWork Labs.
