We took part in a mock interview and mock resume event for WTIA. https://www.washingtontechnology.org/ We talked to 10 future developers during this event.
We asked them some potential interview questions and gave them some resume advice. One of the questions we asked was if money was not a priority. Would they want to work for a corporation, mid-sized company, startup that has funding or a startup with no funding. Four of them answered either a startup with funding or with no funding. So we will follow up with them to see if we can recruit them for cavnessHR.
Until we can build out the cavnessHR platform. We are using DropBox for our users and paying customers. Due to the recent increase in users. We had to upgrade to the business plan for DropBox.
We recently recorded our 50TH episode of the cavnessHR podcast. This episode is just me thanking the previous guests. I also went over the process for building the podcast and how cavnessHR is going. This episode will be pushed out on July 2.
We took part in the SurgeTacoma www.surgetacoma.com happy hour. This is a monthly event where SurgeTacoma provides some refreshments and we get to meet and talk with the other members of the co-working space.
As I talked about before, one of our interns, Kate Moley wants to open a bakery after she graduates from college. I would like to provide you with her company Instagram page. https://www.instagram.com/kakiescakes/ Please follow her as she posts some great bakery items.
Kate is also helping to build out our Google Analytics Data Studio report and the process to measure our cold calling and cold emailing metrics.
We continue to work with our two customers and we continue to learn lots of useful information from both of them. We are already doing minor pivots based on the information learned from them.
We sent one last email to the people on our email lists prior to us starting to send out our weekly HR for small business newsletter. We just want to make sure we give them all an opportunity to opt out prior to us sending them the email newsletter.
Some more bad news for us this week. As far as we know our UI/UX Designer is no longer with us. We were supposed to meet with him one day and he never showed up. Then for 4 days, we called, texted and sent him slack messages. But nothing. He was doing great work for us. So he will be missed.
We will be competing in the Business Impact Northwest Impact Pitch competition again this year. https://businessimpactnw.org/annualevents/impact/ again this year. So just like last year, if we make it to the voting round. We will be asking you to vote for cavnessHR.
