Josh’s Advice
I would say if you're building a company, or actually this is probably generally not just for entrepreneurs. This is for anyone who's building something meaningful, relentlessly pursue the most impactful thing. That's a really hard thing to do.
But the way that I tried to do that, and I kind of have to keep resetting myself on that. Is I think about what would I think to myself this question. What would blank insert the name of your favorite entrepreneur or leader or influence? Whoever that'd be? What would? Let's say Richard Branson in this case, what would Richard Branson do today? As you get down and look at your to do's for the day and record your morning, stand up,
Ask yourself, what would blank do today? Someone that you would think could do your job potentially better than you? If your answer is the things that you plan on doing well, good, then you're doing the most impactful thing.
But if your answer is, and typically as for me, Richard Branson wouldn't be writing this stupid blog article and he wouldn't be following up on this thing that so and so.
He would be handing that stuff off, and he'd be getting on his yacht and doing some deal at some multinational company or something like that? I don't have a yacht, but I can do my version of what Richard Branson would do. One little bit of wisdom to try to pursue the most relentlessly pursue the most impactful thing.
