The focus last week was Seattle Startup Week. https://seattle.startupweek.co There were over 300 events at various locations. It would be nice if I could write about all the great events I attended and all the great people I met. But I would be writing for ever and this would be a book and just not a blog.
I do want to give a shout out to Lee Reeves. https://www.linkedin.com/in/leereevesseattle/
He convinced me to attend as many events as I could. I was going to attend. But I was only going to attend a couple of events. With his encouragement, I decided to actually attend as many events as possible and focus on Seattle Startup Week.
I gained a lot of valuable information from my participation and gained lots of great contacts. I will do my best to use this information and the contacts to continue building cavnessHR.
Even though, the focus of the week was Seattle Startup Week. We continued to do other items.
We have released 12 podcasts so far and they have been downloaded 721 times. We have received some great feedback and people on the podcasts are making some great connections.
We released 3 the first day and then one a day for the next 9 weekdays. From now on we will release one a week. If you are small business owner, founder or in tech, startups or HR and interested in be a guest. Send me an email at jasoncavness@cavnessHR.com
We did a presentation on HR Laws to the Ignite-U small business networking group. https://igniteu365.com It was a great opportunity for cavnessHR to educate small business owners on the HR laws they have to follow from employee #1 to #49. We also covered a couple of bonus laws. If you would like this presentation to be sent to you. Send me an email at jasoncavness@cavnessHR.com
Because of the time invested in Seattle Startup Week. Many of our priorities were delayed. We will have to redouble our efforts to get back on track.
cavnessHR provides HR to companies with less than 50 employees while transforming the HR Outsourcing industry.
